My view of Postira.

I am going to describe the view from my seat here in Postira to you.
The things that stand out the most are the red tower(that is now being rebuilt) and the green light house that mark our little bay. It is soooooooooooo little that Dad, Charlotte, Mum and I all swam across and back again. It was very refreshing and fun. Next to the red light house is a huge old fishing boat that always seems to be there so I guess that it goes out at night and catches fish. There is a stinky fish factory near us and lots of cute cats hang out there.

There are also about 100 little boats and 10 biggish boats.  Along the water’s edge are some cafes and hotels and about 5 I scream shops and in the far, far right, along from the red tower is a trampoline. We went jumping one night and the lady let us go on for as long as we liked.
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!!!

The 2nd biggest boat is the VIKTORIE OLIVER. It is a pearly white sailing boat with one very tall mast, it is my favourite boat.
The water is crystal clear, you can see all the way into the water and then see the bottom. It looks like it is only 1 metre deep but actually it is about 4 or 5 metres deep. At the end of the arms that protect the bay there is a ginormous rock build up so when we were swimming across, it was really easy to get up at each end.
Just outside our villa, Charlotte and I go crabbing and find pretty rocks and shells. Along the water’s edge there are lots of sharp, holey rocks and then patches of concrete for deck chairs and blue and white stripey umbrellas. In the evening the sun sets way down the other end of the channel and the sky turns soft pink then all the lights on the other side start to twinkle over the dark blue water.

When you look up over the town you can see all the roofs of all the buildings, houses, churches and shops and funny enough all the roofs are terracotta. The white stone from Brac is famous because it was used to build the White House in America and other palaces around the world. Some of the roads are made out of white pebbles. Also, all the window shutters are green but we don’t know why.

There are boats coming in and out of the little harbour all the time and there is sooooooooooooooo much life and movement so you never get bored.
The scenery is marvellous, there is a mountain range and it looks like it has heaps and heaps of snow patches on top but we know that it isn’t snow it is a stark white rock at the top and further down there are heaps of trees, there are also many seagulls much bigger than the ones back in Australia and they have spots of brown on their backs.
So now I hope you know why our family find Postira a  perfect little oasis.
